Abbie Grimm represents many students on campus with her athletic style. Abbie values comfortability and convenience when putting her outfits together. Grimm is from Kansas City, Kansas. She is apart of the Business Honors program and is majoring in Accounting. Grimm is also a part of the Husker Cheer Team.
Q: Why do you find your fashion attractive?
A: “I find my fashion attractive because it is something that is comfortable for me and makes me feel confident when I look in the mirror. I don't know if it makes me attractive to other people, but I like that my style makes me feel good.
Q: When did you start noticing fashion?
A: "I think I first started noticing fashion when I was in middle school."
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: "I would describe my style as comfy and something that is convenient. Multi-purpose, where I can go and do a lot of things in that one outfit.
Q: What is the reason why you like fashion?
A: "I think what you wear isn’t everything, but it definitely makes you feel comfortable in your own skin and makes you feel more confident. If you can put something on and that outfit helps you get out the door, speak up in class, or even walk down the sidewalk confidently, then I think that is really great.”

Q: What is a piece of fashion that you would like to add to your wardrobe?
A: "I only have one pair of joggers and I really like them. I think they are a little different than a pair of leggings. As we get into the colder months those can be really important. I think more pairs of joggers in my wardrobe would be great.”
Q: What social media icon or celebrity is your biggest inspiration?
A: "That’s hard. I’m very petite and a lot of things don’t work well for me. There’s this one social media influencer named Marissa Kay and I like watching her because she is the same height as me. Being able to see how outfits look on her helps me when deciding on things to buy."
Q: Where do you get your style inspo?
A: "I get my style inspo from social media influencers. I love looking at them, especially if they have a similar body shape or height as me. I mainly look at the people around me and a lot of my teammates wear a lot of athleisure as well and I follow that. If I see people wearing something that I like, I go out and find my own.”
Q: What's your overall opinion on fashion on campus?
A: "I think everyone looks very comfy and chill. I think that’s great because I don’t think anyone should feel the need, unless they want to, to dress up for class or impress anyone."
Q: What is your go-to outfit?
A: "Definitely a pair of athletic shorts and a big t-shirt. That's my favorite."
Q: What is your favorite place to shop in Lincoln?
A: "I mean, I love Lululemon
Q: What do you consider to be bad style?
A: “Personally, I consider bad style those super quick fashion trends that are here and gone in only a couple of months. I just prefer things that I can wear for years.”

Q: Do you prefer to shop in store or online?
A: "I prefer to shop online, especially of I have already ordered from that shop before."
Q: What is a staple item that you already own?
A: "I love athliesure but I think a nice little pair of gold hoops can dress up any outfit, whether it is athleisure or a fancier outfit. Definitely a nice pair of earrings."
